Stephen A. Smith has clarified that he was not talking about Space Jam 2, which will certainly be a disappoiment to his fans. "No folks. I was not alluding to Space Jam 2 this morning on @FirstTake," he wrote on Twitter.

Smith jokingly added: "There’s no way anyone in charge would allow @KingJames and I to be on the set together. Too much tension. That would be as bad as us on-camera together talking Ball. Wouldn’t want to make anyone nervous😉"

It's no secret that Warner Bros. and LeBron James have had some difficulties getting NBA stars to be a part of Space Jam 2. It's no wonder fans are searching for any hints as to who might appear star in the movie.

On Wednesday's episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith revealed that he's been dipping his toe into Hollywood. While he didn't fully disclose what project he's been working on, Smith dropped enough hints to lead people to believe that he'll appear in Space Jam 2.

"I had to do a movie... Animation." Smith said when explaining what he's been up to. While it would only make sense for the polarizing sports personality to be a part of the film, it should be noted that Smith said fans can expect the project he's working on to premiere next year, while Space Jam 2 doesn't drop until 2021. This could mean he's working on a completely different project, or he made an exhaustion-induced mistake, as he admitted the film has been keeping him from getting a lot of sleep. Adding fuel to the fire, Smith's hints come after LeBron James announced that he's officially started production on Space Jam 2
Although the full cast has yet to be revealed, it's been reported that James' new teammate, Anthony Davis , as well as Klay Thompson, WNBA stars Diana Taurasi and Nneka Ogwumike, and more, will appear in the film.
